(Studio) Baseball commissioner, Bowie Kuhn, tells owners to start spring training.

(Tampa, Florida) 23 Cincinnati Reds players show up for practice. Four key players haven't signed up. Situation assessed. Catcher Johny Bench is only player with 2-yr. contract; he's the highest paid. 3rd baseman Pete Rose and 2nd baseman, Joe Morgan, can become free agents next year if they choose. [MORGAN - says something terrible would have to happen before he'd leave his team.] All confident there'll be player-owner agreement.
