(Studio: Judy Woodruff) Offer from Russia to Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak for help with the Middle East peace process reported.

(Jerusalem: Jerrold Kessel) The first conflict between Barak and Palestinian Authority president Yasir Arafat over the peace process examined. [ARAFAT - (thru translator) says Israel is moving away from implementing the Wye River accord.] Barak's statement accusing the Palestinians of rigidity with regard to the peace process noted. [Israeli cabinet minister Haim RAMON - says Barak is trying to reach the flavor of the Wye agreement.] [Palestinian cabinet member Hanan ASHRAWI - talks about the negotiation issues.]
