(Studio) Cheating scandal dampens graduation festivities at West Point. Junior class especially in trouble.
REPORTER: Howard K. Smith

(West Point, New York) Entire junior class to be detained after classes end for investigation with regard to cheating charges. [Junior student Robert STACKHOUSE - describes situation.] Perhaps 500 junior class cadets involved. Report completed last October predicted the problem with the junior class. June week reunions in progress. [Class of `36 Colonel Tommy THOMPSON - believes present situation a passing crisis.] Answering reporter with regard to honor system. [THOMPSON - believes in the honor system.] Situation with regard to cheating scandal thought to be prolonged.
