(Tay Ninh, South Vietnam) South Vietnam, North Vietnam, Viet Cong troops clash near Cambodia border in Tay Ninh province. 1st Air Cavalry Div., US, comes in to assess situation. Keep surveillance on Communist central office for South Vietnam, located in Cambodian sanctuary. [Lieutenant Colonel William D. MACMILLAN - enemy has to be forced to fight. Are well armed.] United States infantry sees enemy across frontier. 15 US helicopters downed. Details of battles given. North Vietnam rest and recreation area thought nearby. [US TROOPS - sing "Sweet Hour of Prayer" at memorial service for dead.]
