(Studio) Army drafts intellectually sub-standard men under spec. program. Mentally retarded draftee featured.

(Scappose, OR) Robert Hinkle has 4 mentally retarded sons. Robert, Junior, drafted. Got no spec. training; had miserable time. [Robert HINKLE, Senior - tells of son's mistreatment.] Robert, Junior flunked all tests; got combat-duty status. [HINKLE, Senior - says son can't handle the assignment.] Hinkle protests; Army replies that his son is only useful for combat. [HINKLE, Senior - describes Army response that son only qualified for Vietnam combat.] Young Hinkle to report to Fort Lewis, WA, for re-exam. of case.
