(Studio) Henry Cabot Lodge talks with Richard Nixon with regard to replacement of Averell Harriman at Paris Peace Talks. Harriman confers with LBJ; says talks won't get to important matters til North Vietnam gets out of DMZ (demilitarized zone) and stops shelling South Vietnam cities. Cyrus Vance and Colonel Ha Van Lau meet and accuse each other of violating unwritten plan. But progress said made. President Nguyen Van Thieu says his delegation to arrive Paris Saturday Denies talks resumption delay intentional.
