(Studio) Unemployment rate fell .2% in May. Prices up only .3% in May.
REPORTER: Harry Reasoner

(DC) [President FORD - says economy record good and will get better.] May whsle. price index didn't include higher steel and petroleum prices. Most of employment improvement was among women. 65,000 more adult men were out of work. 1/2 of 300,000 new jobs were part-time jobs. Chief economy of Chicago's Exchange National Bank says whoever is president in January will face high unemployment and excessive inflation.
