(Studio) Republican candidate, Richard Nixon campaigns in Chicago. Says choice of campaign opener not related to events of Democratic Convention Vice Presidential candidate, Spiro Agnew, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

(Chicago, Illinois) Enormous crowd greets Nixon, who stands on car in motorcade. Only boos for reporters 45 minutes ride ends at Sheraton Blackstone Hotel. [Senator Edward BROOKE - says Nixon will do all he can to end Vietnam war. He'll unite people; will be no more violence. He'll bring peace to world.] Nixon didn't reappear from hotel. He'll speak on Illinois television broadcast.
