(Studio) Electoral college reform demands continue since election last fall.

(Studio) Senator sub-committee with chairperson Birch Bayh hears abolitionist and reformer; Ted Sorensen, former President aide, said he would abolish present system and Dr. Lloyd Bailey, North Carolina elector, said electors should be given more power and freedom. Republican elector Bailey said he voted for George Wallace because Nixon endorsed Johnson's "no Win" Vietnam policy. [BAILEY - United States is Repb not demo.; without electoral college could be democrat] [SORENSEN - electoral system most unfair aspect of American political system.] Bailey says mass media misinforms people about candidates.
