(Studio) Opposition exists to Judge Clement Haynsworth's nomination to Supreme Court Senator Birch Bayh trying to study Judge's financial records.

(DC) Senator Edward Brooke asks President to withdraw his name. [BROOKE - says Haynsworth treatment of Civil Rights issues not in keeping with historic movement toward equal justice. Bus. dealings and Civil Rights issue raise questions as to wisdom of his confirmation.] [Senator BAYH - says opposition grows.] Possible connection with Bobby Baker. Baker was former secretary to Senate Democrats convicted for income tax irregularities President still backs Haynsworth nomination.
