(Studio) Blind have used dogs and canes as guides in the past.

(San Francisco, California) Girl traces letters on boy's back. At Pacific Med. Center, tactile stimulator produces images for blind. [MAN - discusses device.] Device built into back of wheelchair. Camera sees image and stimulators vibrate. Picture traced on skin. Blind man and scientist demonstrate. Department of Health, Education and Welfare research grant permits study. [Project Dir Dr. Paul BACH-Y-RITA - says blind can respond to it as if it comes from outer world.] [BLIND MAN - says device allows us to have physical contact with objects. Can see in broad sense.]
