(Studio) Report on last night at Democratic Convention
REPORTER: Harry Reasoner
(NYC) Representative Morris Udall nominated for president [UDALL - says he may accept nomination.] Rosalynn Carter talks to ex-1st lady, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Ohio votes give Carter the number of delegates he needed to win. Carter watches convention on television from his hotel. [Ohio REP. - says 132 votes for Carter.] California Governor Edmund Brown Junior, who never lost a primary election to Carter, bowed out of the presidential race. [BROWN - says California votes 278 votes for Carter; will bring United States back into Democrat column.] Rules committee reports today. Acceptance speeches will be given tonight.
