(Studio) 8 killed in Nebraska by escaping fumes.
REPORTER: Chet Huntley
(Crete, Nebraska) Freight train jumps tracks causing anhydrous ammonia fumes to escape and cover 1/2 town. 500 residents evacuated. 5 and maybe more overcome from fumes; 3 killed from explosion. [Mrs. Mary REISEK - reports gas-filled house ; couldn't breathe. Received hospital treatment.] Area sealed off. Those hospitalized in critical condition.
