(Studio) South Vietnam Press Thieu says army ready to take more responsibility and relieve American troops. Said nothing of troop withdrawal.

(DC) Nixon asked if he'll have contact with North Vietnam and NLF representatives while in Europe. [NIXON - no possibility of such conversation at this time. Lodge to give complete report on talks.] Nixon asked about South Vietnam aid with troops. [NIXON - when United States field cmdrs. find South Vietnam ready, our troops will come back. Withdrawal has high priority.]

(Studio) Reporter Robert Goralski says Nixon will make troop withdrawal announcement about time of meeting with President Charles De Gaulle. About 25,000 men in support troops to be moved out 1st.
