(No Locations Given) Pat stays close by husband's side. [NIXON - says Pat good advisor and critic of speech and appearance. Effective in political appeal as is Muriel Humphrey.] Pat shown greeting people. 1 must have tolerance for crowds.

(Williamsburg, Virginia) Different routine here. Reporter reads portion from Nixon's book. "Six Crises" with regard to Checkers speech. [Pat NIXON - says has zest in 1968 because he's best fitted for job. Cites his qualities.] She's campaigned for him since 1946, though she's private person.
