(Studio) Tenants at public housing project go on rent strike.
REPORTER: Chet Huntley
(Saint Louis, Missouri) Tenants at Pruitt-Igoe Housing Project withheld $300,000 rent over 6 mos. [Inez RICHARDSON - says $65 month too high.] [Jean KING - says we'll keep up strike. I tell others to eat, and damn rent.] 2/3 housing projects in financial trouble; 15 insolvent. All look to Washington, DC for help.
