(Studio) 8 Black Panthers and 5 police injured in gun battle between 2 groups.

(Chicago, Illinois) Each side says other started fight. 2 police say were fired upon when stopped to check out 2 men with shotguns. Gunfight lasted 30 minutes. Fire in offices. Mbrs. say police harassed them all day yesterday. 3 members arrested. Weapons confiscated. [Panther "LUCKY" - says "pigs" wanted to kill somebody. They wrecked office. We're cleaning up now.] [Police Captain Paul GALL - says fire spontaneous blaze from shells. Fire started by Panthers.]
