(Studio) Senator Judiciary Committee conts. hearing of Judge Clement Haynsworth for Supreme Court post. AFL-CIO President George Meany says he's not fit. American Bar Association President Lawrence Walsh says he is.

(DC) Walsh commends Haynsworth. Meany says he was reversed by Supreme Court in all union decisions. Says Haynsworth knee-deep in textile business when decided textile case. [MEANY - says judge should disbar self if he has financial interest that affects 1 of litigants. He didn't tell litigants of his interest in case.] Nomination opponents lose momentum.
