(Studio) Pasadena Bd. of Ed votes on plan to integrate schools by busing and consolidating; board under federal court order to do so. Parents file suit claiming board changed zones so schools were segregated.

(Pasadena, California) Won't appeal court order, board and community split. [John T. WELSH - said losing local control, resigns.] [SUPERINTENDENT - admires courage of Welch.] Pasadena has come up with way to integrate schools. [PARENT - objects to busing.] Attorney Gens. of Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama went to court saying their schools have to integrate now so why should Pasadena schools be given till September [A. F. SUMMER - wants single constitutional standard.] [MacDonald GALLION - says Mississippi, LA, Alabama and Department of Justice in same boat.] [SUMMER - says hopes to bring schools back to people.]
