(Studio) United States maintains quotas on foreign oil to keep United States inds. healthy; are exceptions and loopholes; all it does is keep United States oil higher; Nixon committee studied it and recommends ending quotas and collecting tariff instead; would lower price of oil; Libya sells oil to US.

(Tripoli, Libya) In Libya Army revolution was running cntry.; now back to normal; economy is hurt and secret police spy on fors.; old government officials in prison or under arrest; new regime is puritanical; gambling and liquor forbidden; are militant Arabs; American still here with the oil; so far no threats. Govt. is violently anti-Israeli; contributes to Palestinian guerrillas; looks to Egypt and Gamal Abdel Nasser for guidance.
