(Studio) Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands agrees to step down as inspector general of Dutch armed forces and stay out of business world in future as result of accusations with regard to Lockheed scandal.

(London, England) (Film from The Hague, Holland, shown.) Prime minister announces government can't prove Prince took Lockheed money, but Prince has relinquished military post and nonmilitary offices. In February Prince said not guilty of wrong-doing; in message read today, he says he was incautious and used poor judgement in certain business initiatives. (File film of Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard shown.) Prince hasn't admitted guilt, but some fear Queen may step down; daughter, Princess Beatrix, next in line to throne.
