(Studio) Tran Ngoc Chau, South Vietnam political, spoke out against Nguyen Van Thieu; 20 min. trial sentenced him to prison; police beat reporters there.

(Saigon, South Vietnam) Court read indictments; Chau met with brother, North Vietnam officer; Chau's attorney silenced by court; no witnesses or defense Deputy Hoang Ho sentenced to death; Chau got 20 years; newsmen wait with Chau for police; Chau said once in prison he was to be poisoned; police manhandled newsmen; Chau sneaked out back way in jeep; questionable what Thieu accomplished except to make Chau a martyr.
