(Studio) President Gerald Ford's campaign tactics in days before Republican convention seem to be holding on to delegates and to image of front runner.

(DC) Ford strategy described. Senator Clifford Case (New Jersey) tells President and then reporters late survey of New Jersey delegation shows no erosion to Reagan. [CASE - says thinks Ford will get whole delegation.] Reagan pressure for Vice President choice causing problems, especially in consideration of John Connally. House Judiciary Committee member Representative William Cohen says Ford should review Nixon tapes with regard to Connally choice. [COHEN - says Connally symbolizes power pols. of 1960's.] Reporter notes problems in delegate count and of substantiating nos.
