(Studio) 13 states hold governor, Senator and House primaries today. In New York, 5 Democrats compete to challenge Senator James Buckley, who's expected to be winner over challenger, Republican Representative Peter Peyser.

(NYC) Democratic candidates are Dan. Patrick Moynihan, Paul 0'Dwyer, Representative Bella Abzug, Ramsey Clark and Abraham J. Hirschfeld. Front runner is former United Nations ambassador Moynihan. [MOYNIHAN - says he expects to win primary and can probably beat Buckley.] Abzug 2nd to Moynihan. [ABZUG - says if Moynihan would renounce support of Nixon/Ford policies, she might reconsider opinion of him.] Other Democrats in race noted. Question now is will losers unite behind winner in November
