Poff avoids photographers and reporters; appears on video tape reports to Virginia constituents; serves 10 terms on Judiciary Committee [Representative Edward HUTCHINSON - says he'd make excellent justice; praises him; he's no racist.] [Representative Andrew JACOBS, Junior - says Poff performed in open, fair way.] Jacobs sends endorsement to ABA, signed by 22. He's voted twice for civil rights measures since name came up.
