(Studio) School representatives tell Congress Nixon's ban on federal funds for school buses makes it impossible to carry out busing.
REPORTER: John Chancellor
(Nashville, Tennessee) 1,000s of children catch bus in dark in a.m. and p.m. due to staggered school times; not enough buses. Local government won't provide funds. [School Director Dr. Elbert BROOKS - says assistance needed.] Maintenance shop for buses shown. [BROOKS - says we've tried to carry out order; thinks it hard for administration to stress integration when won't give funds to carry out job.] City population thinks it unfair to force hardships on students because of not enough money.
