(Studio) Tax reduction bill passed by Senator In bill is rider that taxpayers give to President campaigns through checkoff system. President needs bill but opposed to rider. He threatens to veto bill.

(NYC) Candidates faced with problem of getting money; gives a lot of pol. influence to rich and union leaders Anybody accepting this public money would be forbidden to accept private money; broke Democrats for it. Republicans against it. Present way of raising money will destroy American political system.
