(Studio) Beginning of series on Republican ticket noted. Ford's views on religion questioned. [FORD - says he and family have deep relationship with Christian faith; cites own feelings.] Harry Reasoner asks if Ford still likes job. [FORD - says he enjoys responsibility of job; coming into job in way he did frees him from consuming ambition of presidency.] Asked about family, [FORD - says wife and children still independent; if anything have gotten more assurance. Says family's ideas have had impact on his thinking.] Harry Reasoner notes LBJ's feeling that president wasn't his until elected to it; asks Ford's feelings with regard to this. [FORD - says way of his coming to office has bothered him, but being elected would help with impact on Congress and greater ability to move affirmatively.]
