(Studio) Secretary of State William Rogers assures NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) meeting in Brussels that West Europe still focal point of United States foreign policy.

(Brussels, Belgium) Secretary of State Rogers and Secretary Defense Melvin Laird assure NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) allies United States not to withdraw United States forces in Europe until negotiations for bilateral withdrawal complete. [LAIRD - says USSR and Warsaw Pact cntrys. would not withdraw troops if United States takes unilateral action.] United States and NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) cntrys. ready to talk with regard to troop withdrawals.
