(Studio) Ind. organization begins removing Bon Vivant Incorporated soup products from stores.

(DC) National Canners Association removes Bon Vivant soups at request of FDA; 250,000 cans retrieved; 750,000 cans still in stores; Bon Vivant has declared bankruptcy; recall ordered after man died of botulism from Bon Vivant vichyssoise soup.

(Newark, New Jersey) Botulism caused by not heating soup long enough to kill all bacteria before canning; Bon Vivant feels judged too harshly.
