(Studio) NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) may lose Malta Island, Mediterranean Sea, as naval base.

(Malta, Mediterranean Sea) Since election, Prime Min. Dom Mintoff has yet to convene Parliament, fired governor general, national police chief, arrested minister of education; declares NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) commander "persona non grata," demands more money from Britain for Royal Air Force and naval facilities; plans to make Malta neutral, invites Libyan ships, bans United States ships; may allow USSR ships to use Malta.
