(Studio) United States position is that South Vietnam will give in; North Vietnam will continue talks.

(White House) White House declines comment on Thieu's speech and Thuy's demands. Admin. sources say Kissinger television speech designed as guarantee of sorts to North Vietnam that United States has every intention of honoring agreement.

(Studio) Problems which remain to be solved incl: large force of North Vietnam stationed in N. South Vietnam which could pose threat; tripartite government which Thieu calls a coalition but United States does not.
