(Studio) University of Illinois students feud with Champaign, Illinois, county clerk about voter registration. Students claim clerk, a Republican, is trying to discourage student registration for primary.

(Champaign-Urbana, Illinois) Clerk refuses to send voter registrars to campus, or to keep office open past 4:30 p.m. Student Coalition for Voter Registration accuses clerk, Dennis Bing, of playing politics. [Student Organizer, James YOUNG - says clerk fears young voters would cause turnover in county officials.] [BING - says every eligible voter is being registered. Says CVR causes deliberate controversy.] Office empty all day, packed with students at 4:30 p.m.
