(Studio) Pennsylvania and Massachusetts president primaries slated for Tuesday

(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) In 1968, Humphrey carried Pennsylvania against President Nixon with support of labor and blacks, but he has never won a president primary. [HUMPHREY - espouses civil rights.] Representative Shirley Chisholm runs for black vote in Pennsylvania also. [Chisholm campaign manager, Janet SMITH - says she lacks support of black leadership] Black vote is split. [Senator George MCGOVERN - speaks on issues relevant to blacks.] Philadelphia political machine, incl. black mbrs., supports Senator Edmund Muskie. Humphrey said still favored with blacks.
