(Studio) North Vietnam drive across DMZ (demilitarized zone) continues; has taken 14 South Vietnam bases since Thursday North Vietnam troops cross Cau Viet River after driving off 5 American destroyers. Quang Tri now endangered.

(Danang, South Vietnam) Bad weather has hampered United States air power supporting South Vietnam forces. Massive retaliatory air raids planned for North Vietnam. South Vietnam appear to be holding their position now, as reinforcements arrive at Dong Ha. Refugees leave area and move south. Bridge Across Dong Ha River destroyed by South Vietnam to prevent crossing by North Vietnam armor, but town is surrounded by North Vietnam troops.
