(Studio) President Nixon leaves Washington, DC Saturday, to stop in Salzburg, Austria, then visit Russia; several days in Moscow, Leningrad, and Kiev. In Helsinki, Finland, SALT talks will not reach agreement on limiting nuclear arms before US-Soviet summit.

(White House) 1, possibly 2, Russian seamen killed in United States bombing raids on North Vietnam ports. Admin. officials under orders not to discuss matter to avoid awkward situation prior to summit. Atmosphere of summit already strained by United States mining of North Vietnam harbors. Both sides take care not to strain it further.
