(Studio) VP Agnew in Saigon, South Vietnam, with South Vietnam President Thieu. At Kontum, 7 Americans killed in transport plane crash caused by enemy rockets. At Pleiku, enemy blows up ammunition dump. South Vietnam strengthen defense of Hue, which is thought to be key to war.

(Hue, South Vietnam) South Vietnam Airborne comes to Hue from Pleiku on President Thieu's orders. Attack expected from west Airborne moves north on Rte. 1, striking west toward mtns. believed to harbor a regiment of North Vietnam. Fire Base built to cover area. B-52 strikes suspected enemy camp. Column bogs down in muddy water. No sight of enemy. South Vietnam are now on offensive west of Hue.
