(Studio) Hurricane Agnes loses most of force, but does much damage. 18 people in Cuba and Florida perished in storm.

(Apalachicola, Florida) Hurricane sticks on predicted path so people living in range have plenty of warning. Some take shelter in National Guard Armory and are cared for by Guardsmen and Red Cross. Tides nearly back to normal now.
