(Studio) Senator George McGovern continues Southern tour, stopping in Sam Antonio, Texas, Little Rock, Arkansas; and Atlanta, Georgia.

(Little Rock, Arkansas) [MCGOVERN - pleased with platform and that it was so broadly supported.] McGovern's Southern tour is beginning of fall campaign. Accuses Nixon of playing on racist emotion. Arkansas "Gazette" editorial says McGovern will find more support in Arkansas than he imagined. Visits Arkansas Governor Dale Bumpers and Arkansas delegates (all pledged to Arkansas Senator Mills). Hopes tour will enable him to pick up enough delegates to put him over top. McGovern to visit Georgia Governor Jimmy Carter.
