(Studio) General Motors Corporation goes to court requesting 1 year postponement of Federal standards requiring clean auto engines by 1975. Ford works might and day to meet emission standards set by Environmental Protection Agency for 1973 models.

(Dearborn, Hawaii) Emissions testing lab works 24 hrs. a day to complete tests required by EPA. First tests made were unacceptable, as unauthorized maintenance performed on test cars. Model changeover will be delayed 1 week while new tests are completed.
