(Studio) Earlier reports on Egyptian President Sadat's remarks with regard to invitation from Israeli Prime Min. Begin to visit Israel and Begin's return remarks noted. Report on execution of promised actions.

(Israel) Report on Israel's issuance of official invitation to Sadat. Begin gives letter to United States ambassador Sam Lewis for transmission to Egypt. Reporter notes ABC correspondent Peter Jennings, in Cairo, was 1st to learn that Sadat wanted official invitation and also notes own exclusive interview with Begin today. [BEGIN - states when Sadat visit might take place; talks of security measures to be taken and of ceremonies to greet sadat.] Begin's comment to aides noted, made after telephone call believed from American embassy received during preparations for interview.

(Cairo, Egypt) Sadat's meeting with another group of American Congmen. noted, as well as remarks on invitation from Israel. [SADAT - talks of opening discussions with Israeli parliament.] Sadat's reported lack of concern for safety in Israel noted. [SADAT - will tell parliament that it isn't land on Golan Heights or Sinai or west bank that means security for them, but agreement among all in area to live in peace.] Varying reactions of Egyptian people, others in Arab world and of United States diplomats cited. Sadat's long-time efforts to change minds of American Congmen. and magnitude of task of attempting same with Israeli pols. noted.
