(Studio) Defense Department sends 2500 paratroopers and Marines to Florida in case there is trouble at convention (Poor People's Coalition breaks into meeting of conv. arrangements committee today in Miami.) Federal troops will operate from Dodge Island in Biscayne Bay.

(Miami Beach, Florida) Chances are these troops won't be used. Florida highway patrol will enforce law and order if possible. They tour convention facilities. Each candidate has trailer command post outside Convention Hall, and compound sealed off with high fences. More fences surround entire area.
