(Studio) President Nixon adds $3.8 million to campaign funds with fund-raising dinners in New York and California.

Some planning necessary for security, but not even press corps can get near him. (Los Angeles, California) [NIXON - notes proposals for defense cuts which would make United States a 2nd-rate power.] On defense, taxes, and welfare, Nixon attacks proposals McGovern has never made. Voters want television debate.
