(Studio) Vice President designate Gerald Ford disagrees with President' practice of making secret tape recordings of conversations. Ford reveals feelings during confirmation hearings.

(DC) Judiciary Committee composed mainly of Ford's colleagues; questions mostly easy. Representatives Conyers, Waldie and Drinan ask Ford many difficult, probing questions, however. [FORD - restates support of President] House Judiciary Committee hopes to finish hearings by Thanksgiving.
