(Studio) Rose Mary Woods claims she mistakenly erased 18 mins. of tape discovered with gap. Earlier, President' personal secretary Miss Woods testified she never touched record button. 7 of President' White House tapes turned over to Judge John Sirica.

(DC) Miss Woods recalled to testify with regard to White House tape supposedly erased by her. 18-min. gap found in tape; gap contains conversation between President and former chief of staff H.R. Haldeman. Assistant prosecutor Jill Volner reads portions of Haldeman's notes of meeting Miss Woods explains how tape erased accidentally. She's unable to explain 18-min. gap in light of 5 mins. away from machine on phone. President requests Judge Sirica hold 3 White House tapes of Nixon's under executive privilege. President' analysis of subpoenaed tapes outlined.
