(Studio) Noted is discovery by New York City officials that, of large number of Midwest girls ending up on New York City streets as prostitutes, many are from Minneapolis. Report with regard to effort to help them go home.

Details of Minneapolis policemen Gary McGaughey and Al Palmquist's search for Minnesota girls on New York City streets, in order to offer them free passage home, noted. [OFFICER - asks teenagers if they know any girls on street from Minnesota.] [GIRL - says no.] (Video tapes of streetwalking activities shown.) [McGAUGHEY - describes no-strings-attached program for sending girls back immediately.] Previous successes in program noted.
