(Lake Lanier, Georgia) Report on concerns with regard to conditions of other earthen dams in cntry., using Chandler-Murphy Dam in Atlanta as example Army Corps. of Engineers designation of dam as hazardous and reasons stated. [Water control engineer Walter McCORMICK - lists reasons dams may be in danger of bursting.] Provisions for monitoring and daily inspection of federal dam on Lake Lanier cited as example of how Corps proposes all earthen dams be inspected. Congress must allocate funds for program.
