(Travis AFB, California) Private Ferdinand Rodriguez stays in plane on landing; said he didn't feel well. Some POW's show signs of wounds though most in good shape. Major H. Lockhart met by wife and son he had never seen. Captain John Anderson met by wife. [Former prisoners of war Colonel Ronald BYRNE - says has dreamed of being on American soil for years Thanks Americans for caring.] From Travis Air Force Base some POW's fly to San Diego.

(Studio) Hanoi promises to free 20 more POW's this week

(Clark AFB, Philippines) Colonel Robinson Risner and Lieutenant Colonel John Dunn meet with reporters [RISNER - says antiwar statements made by POW's while in captivity cannot be taken at &ace value.] Freed POW's don't want to talk about prisoners of war life until all POW's released.

(Studio) South Vietnam threatens to halt Communist prisoners of war release in retaliation for Communist failure to free South Vietnam POW's in area South Vietnam specified. Despite threats POW exchanges continue.

(Quang Tri, South Vietnam) 175 crippled, wounded and sick Communist POW's released after days of delays. POW's didn't want to ride in boats flying South Vietnam flags. River separates South Vietnam and Communists Viet Cong ofr. talks them into using boats. POWœs throw away prisoners of war clothes and unfurl North Vietnam and Viet Cong banners while crossing river. North Vietnam soldiers on north river bank greet POW's with cigarettes and new uniforms.
