(Studio) Federal officials negotiating with members AIM who hold town of Wounded Knee, South Dakota. Il hostages held by Indians freed, but stalemate not over.

(Pine Ridge, South Dakota) South Dakota Senators George McGovern and James Abourezk arrive on scene to negotiate with Indians. Indians want Senator investigation into plight of American Indians. [McGOVERN - says discussions worth while. Reports that home AIM member Aaron Deseras destroyed by fire bomb disconcerting.] Aaron Deseras' wife took anonymous call saying home may be destroyed just before bombing. BIA office heavily fortified by feds. in Pine Ridge for fear it may be attacked by Indians.
