(Studio) Major William Hardy, former Viet Cong POW, returns home.

(Greenville, North Carolina) [HARDY thanks whole town for welcome it gave him.] Hardy is black. Says 6 years ago town would not have treated him as hero as it did today. Feels blacks have more pride in themselves now. [HARDY - says while prisoner suffered from intestinal diseases, malnutrition, etc. Says Viet Cong had little food themselves and so could give him little.
